Except the Westhampton Free Library Taxpayer

Remember:  At first only a few property owners could vote.  Over 200 years, working-class white men, former slaves, women, and finally all Americans won the right to vote.

Except the Westhampton Free Library taxpayer.  Since 1897, trustees continue to be appointed.  Month after month taxpayers ask for the bylaws to be amended to allow for trustee elections, and nothing happens.  Might we hear good news on April 13, when the Library’s Board plans to discuss the elected board issue?  We hope so.
