Hampton Bays Public Library has an Appointed Board, Too

June 15, 2016 UPDATE:  The bond vote to fund a new Hampton Bays Public (association) Library failed, 719-507.

Hampton Bays Public Library is facing a bond vote on June 14 to build a new library. Like the Westhampton Free Library, it is an association library funded by millions of tax dollars but still with an unelected/appointed Board of Trustees.

Only 6 out of 19 Suffolk County association libraries continue to maintain appointed boards.

Please remember Mr. Trillo’s June 2 Letter to the Editor in the Southampton Press when the Appointed Trustees of the Westhampton Not-Free Library Kingdom wish to expand our brand new building with millions of accumulated tax dollars. (Read Our Community Center.)
